We do it because we love it!

Leaving school early, PJ decided to find something he could excel at. One day while digging trenches by hand, he saw a Bobcat with a backhoe attachment working. Something inside him said ‘That’s me.’ He was just 16 years old, but a passion gripped him. By 19 he’d saved enough to buy his first Bobcat, an old Case.

Years of contracting followed where he learned many tricks in using these machines to produce high quality results very speedily. PJ was blessed with a creative mind. This led him to several inventions. Two of these are the crossflow bucket and spreader bar. Due to his naivety, he lost ownership of these patents.

While doing more civil works projects including building roads and restorations, he met Rudy Frei the CEO of one of his client companies. Rudy has a background as an engineer and estimator. He is fluent in seven languages having worked and managed projects in many other countries.

Building on their complementary strengths, they have completed projects in many locations in Qld and NSW. These include Defence Department, Local Councils as well as commercial developments, shopping centres as well as domestic work. They have a reputation for high quality rock walls and building difficult driveways.

For these jobs, they used to hire a roller as well as a water truck, or a 500-litre tank with pump and hose from the back of a ute. They saw so many job sites using two trucks. One for water and one tipper.

This seemed like a waste and a lot of expense to them. One afternoon they knocked off and were having a drink to lubricate the creative juices. Eventually one of them said ‘What about if we could design and build a body to mount on one truck that could serve as water truck, tipper and even transport the roller?’ They did a quick calculation on what this could save them and decided to have a crack at the challenge.

After many rough drawings they finally had a pretty clear design, but who could they put their faith in who would be able to work closely with them to turn the design into metal? Around this time, they were fortunate to come across Jeff, the owner of Anybody Commercial Coach & Bodybuilders (Now Anybody Car Carriers) at Burpengary.

He was a real godsend, being a creative entrepreneur himself. Jeff’s input and perseverance became a major factor in fine tuning the design concept. It wasn’t long before they were testing the prototype on their own job sites where they made many further improvements. They wondered how they ever got on without it.

It is now a tried, tested, and proven piece of plant. It reduces costs on a whole range of construction sites like roads, subdivisions, parks, and landscaping jobs.

Our 2 Tonne and 4 Tonne Dual Function Water-Tipper Trucks are now available for hire!
